Ashley Clark
Personal Development Coach & Master of Psychology
Hi, my name is Ashley Clark. I hold a Master of Arts in Psychology and have 20 years’ experience in mental health (depression, anxiety, personality traits and more), of all ages. I am trained in many areas which include but not limited to, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), mindfulness, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), cognitive remediation therapy (CRT), meal support and eating disorders, de-escalation, drug and alcohol abuse and first aid. Developing support plans and mentoring others in Auckland and the UK has been a large part of my roles. I am specialised in eating disorders and enjoy coaching gymnastics. Being a personal development coach is something I have always wanted to do and feel passionate about.
Psychology is my field while sport and the outdoors are important to me. So, if we combine the two, we have outdoor therapy. Exercise and outdoor activities can be a fun way to connect mind and body for better health and wellbeing. Exercise increases endorphins which makes you feel good and leads to improved thinking, and increased ability to reach your full potential.
You can join me in a relaxed outdoor environment to improve your mental health while we get some exercise in. Life is busy and this way you can exercise the mind AND body at the same time. With my background and experience, I want to provide useful techniques so you can learn to be your own therapist.
Of course, we are all different so I will adapt sessions to suit specific needs and offer other support in my specialist areas. I have done lots of work in child development where a practical environment proves most effective. The same goes for eating and exercise behaviour. Please check out what Exercise Psychology has to offer under services or contact me for more info or requests.
