Exercise Psychology Activities

Outdoor therapy activities are tailored for all ages, individuals, groups and needs. Exercise Psychology offers practical tools in a relaxed environment for you or your loved one to learn to cope in the real world. Outlined below is an idea of some activities offered. Although, we are all different and activities will be tailored.

Feeling Stuck?

You might find a ‘Walk & Talk’ useful if you are someone who has tried counselling or therapy before to no avail. Sitting in a therapy room is not for everyone. Also, when you exercise feel good chemicals in the brain are released – so you can think more clearly. There is also something about being outside in nature that helps us feel more relaxed and grounded, and able to open up.

Exercise and dieting is hard for many. With my experience in eating disorders and psychology, the ‘Walk & Talk’ can help break down barriers so you can stay on top of your physical and mental health. Ultimately, Exercise Psychology aims for you to learn to be your own therapist.

Growing Your Child

Raising a child is one of the hardest jobs in the world but the most rewarding. If you need help along the way, Exercise Psychology offers ‘Child Development’ outdoor activities. Children are malleable at a young age, so reach out now and have your child set up for life.

Build your child’s co-ordination, confidence and resilience and make exercise a positive experience. We can address self-regulation and mold socially acceptable behaviour. Group activities are available for children who need practice with their social skills.

Worried About Your Loved One?

What is awesome, is that mental health is becoming more talked about. However, many don’t really understand how mental health presents and can be managed. If you or a loved one are struggling with mental health e.g. anxiety, depression, an eating disorder, or something else then Exercise Psychology may be able to help.

Changing thoughts, behaviours and feelings is hard but is well worth it if you can commit. Mental shifts happen when you learn something new. Learn to be your own therapist.
