Outdoor Health Therapy
Well here it is. A short video explaining what Exercise Psychology is and how my outdoor activities combined with psychology tools, can be good therapy for our physical and mental health. Watch Introducing Exercise Psychology when you have 3 minutes and see below for the readable version.
How is Exercise Psychology Different?
Hi my name is Ashley Clark and I am a Personal Development Coach with a Masters in Psychology. I am a mother who has a bit more time on my hands. So I am pursuing my passion in exercise, psychology, and the outdoors. I have created Exercise Psychology where we connect mind and body through exercise for better health.
What makes me different is that I have chosen my own path due to lack of options here. I have not gone down the usual pathway to be a psychologist. What it means for you is that I offer unique, relaxed, fun, flexible and affordable health therapy.
Exercise Psychology is worth a try for those of you or your loved ones who;
- have tried counselling or therapy to no avail,
- have had no luck with maintaining diet and exercise and seek a healthy relationship with food, eating and/or body image
- need help with behaviour or self-regulation or want your child to reach best performance/child development
- maybe you cannot find a suitable appointment within budget
See what Exercise Psychology has to offer and we will work together with the goal of the individual becoming their own therapist.
I have 20 years of experience in mental health of all ages including but not limited to; anxiety, depression and eating disorders with meal support. I have worked with schools in health nationwide and coach children in sport. What I focus on is providing practical tools in a real-world environment.
Outdoor Health Therapy For Everyone
We can choose an outdoor activity and engage in therapy at the same time. For example, a walk & talk involves us going on a local walk while we chat and figure out what therapy tools might be useful for you to put into practice.
Exercise releases feel good chemicals in the brain which leads to improved thinking and increased ability to reach full potential. Mental shifts happen in new experiences; when we try new things. If sitting down in a therapy room is not for you or your loved one then give Exercise Psychology a try. Each activity is tailored to specific needs of any age, individual or group.
If you know someone who may benefit from outdoor health therapy then, please pass this link on. Access to the limited time introductory offer is available and details can be found on the website.
